Main Conference Day One

11:10 AM IDENTIFYING AND TRACKING EMERGING THREATS IN COMPLEX AND CONGESTED OPERATING ENVIRONMENTS

  • Examining a UK MoD radar research programme which developed a slow air and surface target detection and tracking channel for shipborne, primary surveillance radar
  • Understanding an applied research technology demonstrator (ARTD) radar and in-phase and quadrature (IQ) analysis as instrumental features in the programme’s development
  • Managing the challenges of operating such a channel in a  cluttered, littoral, environment, due the presence of many real world objects such as birds.  Ways to automatically identify wanted targets from other real world objects have been researched
